Mindfulness in the Classroom

Mindfulness is a way of meeting our experiences with the presence of mind to skillfully respond to life's challenges rather than unconsciously react. Mindfulness researchers offer compelling evidence to support mindfulness in education. Studies find that mindfulness education improves students: attention and emotion regulation, self-regulation and self-awareness, empathy and compassion for others, social skills, and stress and anxiety management. We typically start with a 6-week program, where we teach students mindfulness tools in weekly 20-minute sessions. Well+Educated will tailor a mindfulness program to fit your school’s needs.

The Home Connection

A parent home connection component can be added to the Mindfulness program package for an additional charge. This would include weekly e-mails or newsletters to parents that share the content of what their students are learning in conjunction with home extension activities to reinforce the mindfulness tools and skills they learn at school.
